CREC has done extensive work throughout North Carolina. One of our more recent projects took us to Hickory, NC, where, working with Catawba Valley Community College, we helped community leaders plot and prepare for the manufacturing future of the hard-hit, rural region.

Since 2008, CREC has worked with the Governor's Office of Workforce Development to provide each of the state’s regions the labor force data and strategic planning assistance their policy-makers needed to make informed strategic workforce, economic and educational investments.
Nashville: Opportunities in an Urban Labor Market
In late 2010, CREC delivered the workforce study, "Leveraging the Labor Force for Economic Growth," to our client, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. The review, a follow up to CREC's 2007 study, provided area leaders with an updated analysis of how their region was impacted by the Great Recession.

In partnership with Business Development Advisors, CREC established a framework for a potential life sciences initiative in Southeastern Michigan by informing and bringing together leading research, healthcare, and economic development leaders with the goal of identifying and leveraging existing assets.
