CREC Releases Manufacturing Job Openings Data for Colorado
March 21, 2012As part of CREC’s ongoing effort to increase awareness about the characteristics of manufacturing in the U.S., CREC staff Lauren Gilchrist and Ken Poole recently partnered with the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute to disseminate information about 2011 job openings in the state of Colorado. Manufacturing posted the second largest number of job openings by sector in Colorado in 2011, with job openings totaling more than 41,000. Traditional production occupation openings accounted for only about five percent of all manufacturing job openings in the state.
