CREC Conducts Case Studies to Examine Economic Diversity in Appalachian Communities
April 5, 2013This project, commissioned by the Appalachian Regional Commission, examines issues surrounding economic diversity within Appalachian communities. This interview is part of 10 case studies designed to better understand the economic development strategies being undertaken in these communities. Working with external partners, CREC researchers will talk with these regional stakeholders about their economic development strategies and the role that economic diversity plays in their thinking, and where they see challenges and opportunities for economic diversification. The ultimate goal of this research is to produce a report that can serve as a resource for communities throughout the Appalachian region that wish to diversify and grow their economies.
