CREC Attends NCSES Workshop in Arlington, VirginiaDecember 3, 2014
Ken Poole attends National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) workshop to explore improvements to the National Science Foundation’s Innovation survey.
The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES), formerly the Division of Science Resources Statistics, was established within the National Science Foundation by Section 505 of the America COMPETES Re-Authorization Act of 2010. The name signals the central role of NCSES in the collection, interpretation, analysis, and dissemination of objective data on the science and engineering enterprise.
Launched in 2009, the Business R&D and Innovation Survey (BRDIS) was developed jointly by the National Science Foundation/Science Resources Statistics (NSF/SRS) and the U.S. Census Bureau to replace the Survey of Industrial Research and Development.
