CREC Travels to Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan
May 14, 2015Erol Yildirim, Mark White, and William Cook met with representatives from Henry Ford College to further develop workforce information tools and training for the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (MSAMC) in Dearborn, Michigan.
Established in 2012 under the TAACCCT Grant Program, the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (M-SAMC) is designing innovative program models to improve manufacturing education. With thirteen college partners across ten states, more than forty industrial partners, and state-of-the-art technology, M-SAMC is committed to integrating strategies that increase student success.By bridging the gap between the needs of the workplace and the manufacturing curriculum in most colleges, M-SAMC is paving the way for job-driven training. M-SAMC is empowering workers to meet the demands of today’s careers and to thrive in high-wage, high skill occupations.
