CREC Delivers Training in Spartanburg, South Carolina
January 14, 2016Haden Springer and Lindsay Johnson traveled to Spartanburg, South Carolina to deliver a training on using labor market intelligence to engage industry partners on behalf of the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (M-SAMC).
The course was geared toward educating economic development, workforce development, and community college representatives on using labor market data to make informed workforce and training decisions in their regions.
Established in 2012 under the TAACCCT Grant Program, the consortium, officially called the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (M-SAMC), designs innovative program models to improve manufacturing education. With 13 college partners across 10 states, more than 40 industrial partners, and state-of-the-art technology, M-SAMC is leveraging its combined experiences to increase student success locally, and bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. nationally.
