March 7-8 Event: Local Employment Dynamics Partnership Annual Workshop
March 3, 2016The 2016 Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership Annual Workshop is slated for March 7-8 in Washington, D.C. The free event provides professional development and networking for Labor Market Information directors, data analysts and data providers at state and federal agencies, nonprofits, businesses, and other data users.
This year’s theme is “National Perspective, Local Data,” and presentations will explore how LED data encourages a wide variety of partners to work together in new ways by using the Quarterly Workforce Indicator, LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES) and Job-to-Job (J2J) Flows.
LED is a voluntary federal-state partnership that was started in 1999. Its main purpose is to merge data from workers with data from employers to produce a collection of enhanced labor market statistics known collectively as Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI), subject to strict protection of the identity and confidentiality of the individual respondents.
If you have any questions about the workshop, please call (301) 763-8303, or email CES.Local.Employment.Dynamics@census.gov. Information on previous workshops can also be found at http://lehd.ces.census.gov/learning/.
