CREC Delivers Training at 2016 NAWB Forum in Washington, D.C.
March 22, 2016Haden Springer and Lindsay Johnson joined by Instructor, Martin Romitti, delivered training on labor market intelligence to workforce development professionals at the 2016 National Association for Workforce Boards (NAWB) Forum in Washington, D.C.
The training centered on teaching workforce development professionals how to use primarily the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) Quarterly Employment and Wages (QCEW) survey and Occupational and Employment Statistics (OES) to identify high-demand industries and occupations on a regional scale.
NAWB represents approximately 550 Workforce Development Boards and their 12,000+ business members that coordinate and leverage workforce strategies with education and economic development stakeholders within their local communities, to ensure that state and local workforce development and job training programs meet the needs of employers.
