Project Profile
Arizona Aerospace and Defense Industry Survey and Data Collection
C2ER managed a survey of more than 1,900 companies in Arizona to help the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) update its Aerospace and Defense (A&D) Industry Supply Chain Database. Information on 1,250 firms, collected by Oppenheim Research, under a subcontract with C2ER, will be incorporated into this publicly available database, accessible from the ACA’s website. C2ER conducted an analysis of the data collected to identify businesses that currently participate, or that may be eligible to participate, in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) 8(a) Business Development Program for socially and economically “disadvantaged” companies. The purpose of this analysis is to provide ACA with advice and contact information for outreach to disadvantaged businesses in Arizona’s A&D supply chain. C2ER’s analysis included 616 of the 1,250 firms that will be included in the in the updated A&D Industry. C2ER also produced an interview guide for in-person and telephone conversations to ensure that ACA staff can maintain and expand the database over time.
