Counting U.S. Secondary and Postsecondary Credentials, Phase III
For the third year, CREC is collaborating with the George Washington University Institute of Public Policy to determine a typology and count of U.S. educational and professional credentials for Credential Engine—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting transparency and literacy in the credential marketplace. Our goal is to identify existing data sources and integrate these into a master count of credentials nationwide. Our work this year will highlight how states and third parties are tracking credentials. Ultimately, Credential Engine would like to make this information more accessible to the public. The 2018 and 2019 reports were published by Credential Engine and are available on the Credential Engine website.
