Project Profile
Detroit Life Sciences Strategy
In partnership with Business Development Advisors, CREC assessed the need and feasibility of a life sciences development strategy for Southeastern Michigan. This work was being conducted for Detroit Renaissance and the Detroit Regional Chamber, and funded by the New Economy Initiative. The project established a framework for a potential life sciences initiative by identifying the leading research and healthcare institutions and economic development organizations individual and common goals. It also provided basic data on the region’s life sciences assets.
About the Client
New Economy Initiative of Southeastern Michigan
The New Economy Initiative is the largest economic development initiative of its kind working to build a network of support for entrepreneurs and small businesses. It was built in the face of a market failure not seen in our lifetime and a culture that had either forgotten or lost faith in its ability to generate the ideas and businesses of tomorrow. |
