Start Date: Sep 2021 — End Date: Jul 2023

CREC is collaborating with George Washington University Institute of Public Policy (GWIPP) to support the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics’ (NCSES) use of administrative data to analyze training and education of the nation’s skilled technical workforce (STW).

The limitations of survey data in this field necessitates the utilization of administrative and auxiliary datasets to build the knowledge base necessary to promote informed policy decisions regarding the STW. The project will address this challenge by organizing a repository of administrative datasets on non-degree credentials, assessing the quality and relevance of those data, and demonstrating applications to research and analysis.
