Certifications and Licenses in the California Workforce

CREC undertook this initiative to determine the prevalence of certifications and licenses in the California workforce. Using Current Population Survey micro-data, CREC developed tables for California’s working age population with either certifications or licenses. CREC analyzed the data to explore generating appropriate statistics for the state and larger metro areas, resulting in a memo on California’s workforce and training requirements.
