Community Indicators Consortium
The Community Indicators Consortium (CIC) is a global network that supports efforts to use community data to improve quality of life. CIC provides resources and tools to help communities and practitioners advance the practice and effective use of community indicators. The includes increasing the use of indicators for monitoring community conditions and advancing sustainability, promoting community engagement, and expanding linkages and mechanisms, across disciplines, to share knowledge across geographies and between organizations using or promoting the use of indicators. CREC managed the organization and facilitated its board and committee activities. CREC oversaw membership relations and recruitment, produced monthly news and special publications, conducted an extensive schedule of webinar training, coordinated the annual conference and Impact Awards, supported member advocacy efforts, and managed CIC’s web presence (www.communityindicators.net).
