Project Profile
Enhancing User Access to Available Labor Market Information
CREC published the report: “Balancing Confidentiality and Access: Sharing Employment and Wage Data For Policy Analysis and Research.” The report examines the restrictions and opportunities for using employment and wage tax record data to make better economic development, workforce development, and education policy investments. During the project, CREC collected state and national statutes and rules, and systematically organized them into a repository. CREC also interviewed participants in data sharing agreements to obtain their perspective regarding agreement development and implementation and conducted a one-day workshop for stakeholders including state and national leaders. The data was integrated into a Kauffman Education Policy Digest on Data targeted to education and workforce policymakers.
