Project Profile

Supporting the State Small Business Credit Initiative Lending Programs

U.S. Department of Treasury, State Small Business Credit Initiative
Start Date: Nov 2013 — End Date: Sep 2017

Working collaboratively with commercial lending and community development finance subject matter experts (George Surgeon, David McGrady and Donna Nails), CREC provided technical assistance and support services for U.S. Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative.  This support included a review of all state lending programs receiving funding through the Initiative, supporting Treasury’s relationship managers with providing technical assistance to state program managers, and compiling a final report and internal memo about lessons learned.  In addition, CREC staff completed an annual review of the Initiative using year-end program data and evaluated program modification requests submitted by state program managers.  CREC also helped in the program development and logistics planning of the SSBCI Annual Conference, with core CREC team members serving as either subject matter expert or moderator in panel discussions.
