Texas Economic Adjustment Assistance, 2018-2019
CREC is supporting industry resilience in the Texas defense economy through the development of supply-chain enhanced analytics, specifically aimed at Texas defense manufacturers that encompasses the special challenges that these firms face and their potential for high or sustained economic growth. For this project, CREC is conducting company surveys to statistically identify which variables are the key drivers of growth and their relative weights of importance. The insights from the surveys will help state officials and business service providers better understand and target support to the needs, challenges, and practices of growing defense supply companies. Additionally, CREC is establishing a set of economic dashboard indicators drawing upon current literature for methods and best practices to create a model regional economic dashboard for deployment by state and community stakeholders.
