The Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC) is an independent, not-for-profit organization founded to provide policy-makers from around the world with the information and technical assistance they need to formulate and execute innovative, regional, job-creating economic strategies.

John Ponder White started his CREC career as an intern and is now a full-time Research Analyst at CREC on the workforce development team. John Ponder’s projects have included work on state business incentive analysis and work on United States credentialing. John Ponder performs both qualitative and quantitative analysis for clients while assisting CREC’s internship program.  

Prior to joining CREC John Ponder worked on an analysis of the effect of Social Security and Medicaid on the Labor Force Participation Rate, a business plan for the City of Minnetonka’s urban forestry program, and served as the Managing Editor for the Humphrey Policy Affairs Review.  

John Ponder has a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota.
