The Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC) is an independent, not-for-profit organization founded to provide policy-makers from around the world with the information and technical assistance they need to formulate and execute innovative, regional, job-creating economic strategies.

Sarah Edwards is a Research Associate with CREC. Sarah primarily focuses on workforce development research and analysis. Her current projects include the NCBiotech Build Back Better Regional Challenge and Building Equitable Pathways Communities of Practice project.

Prior to joining the CREC, Sarah worked as a Research Analyst for the National Association of Counties where she analyzed county-level expenditures, highlighted equity-driven initiatives, and developed a comprehensive county government database. During her graduate program, Sarah also worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Metropolitan Policy Center where she researched the dynamics of neighborhood change in the DMV region.

Sarah has a Masters in Public Policy with an emphasis on Social Policy from American University, and a B.A. in Politics from Whitman College.
