Delta Workforce Program
The Delta Regional Authority’s Delta Workforce Program faces the dual challenge of developing new talent for the region’s leading industries while also supporting the retraining and reskilling of displaced and underutilized workers in distressed communities. With this Labor Market and Workforce Report, CREC aimed to advance the Program’s goals of building a more prosperous Delta regional economy while ensuring that all the region’s residents can fully participate.
This project produced a compelling analysis of the Delta’s talent assets and gaps, providing a roadmap for innovative program development and delivery. We delivered results, insights, recommendations, data products and toolkits to strengthen ongoing efforts to support industry-led workforce training, build collaborative talent pipelines, develop or enhance industry clusters and accelerate local and regional economic development.
The proposed research created customized data and insights for the region. Broad regional trend analysis and county-level descriptive statistics focused on skills and support systems were paired with detailed case studies.
