Ron Kelly and Haden Springer conducted focus groups with the Arizona Commerce Authority including representatives from aerospace and defense companies. Focus groups were conducted in Sierra Vista, Tucson, and Phoenix, Arizona.

Ron Kelly met with program managers running lending and venture capital programs for the Illionis Development of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in Chicago, Illinois.

Ron Kelly attended the State Technical Assistance Strategy Meeting convened by the Workforce Data Quality Campaign (WDQC) in Washington D.C.

Ron Kelly attended the Workforce Information Council meeting at the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington D.C. There, he provided updates on the LMI Institute and Council for Community and Economic Research.

Ken Poole and CREC Consultant, David McGrady traveled to Boise Idaho to meet with Idaho Housing Finance Authority staff managing the Idaho State Small Business Credit Initiative, as well as lenders using the program.

Haden Springer joined by instructors, Patty Silverstein and Justin Wehner, traveled to Denver, Colorado to deliver LMI Institute Basic Analyst Training.

Ken Poole and Ron Kelly assisted the Arizona Commerce Authority in delivering training on labor market intelligence to local, county, and state employees in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ron Kelly and Haden Springer assisted the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) in conducting a focus group with companies serving aerospace and defense industries.

CREC participated in a U.S. Census Bureau briefing by Director, John Thompson, regarding the planned termination of the 3-year estimates produced by the American Community Survey (ACS).

The Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) published the 2014 annual averages for the Cost of Living Index (COLI).
