Mark White and Haden Springer traveled to Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan to participate in an “Implementation Amalgamation Workshop” with leaders of the Multi-State Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (M-S AMC).

CREC participated in The Business Incentives Initiative Winter meeting held in Washington, D.C. The program engages forward-thinking state officials to reform economic development incentive policies and practices.

Ken Poole attends National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) workshop to explore improvements to the National Science Foundation’s Business Research & Development Innovation Survey (BRDIS).

Ron Kelly and Martin Romitti traveled to Montgomery, Alabama to meet with the Program Manager for the Alabama State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI).

Ken Poole traveled with consultant, George Surgeon, and partners, Cromwell & Schmisseur to meet with Florida State Small Business Credit Initiative program managers.

Ken Poole and Mark White traveled to the MEP Directors meeting in Nasville, Tennessee where CREC research on enhancing MEP’s evaluation system and reporting was featured extensively.

CREC’s Ron Kelly was invited as an alumni speaker for Cornell University’s Department of City and Regional Planning in Ithaca, New York.

Martin Romitti and Brendan Buff met with key Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) stakeholders in Cambridge, Ohio to discuss the impact of ARC investments in their communities.

Ken Poole and Ron Kelly attended the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) Labor Market Information (LMI) Committee strategic planning session at the invitation of its Chair, Alexandra Hall, LMI Director in Colorado.

CREC served as a principal author of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) report focusing on the program’s impact in underserved markets.
