Marty Romitti traveled to Manitowoc, Kewaunee, Calumet, Sheboygan, and Door counties in Eastern Wisconsin to kickoff a new project with the Lakeshore Industry Cluster Initiative.

Ron Kelly and David McGrady met with program administrators from the South Carolina Business Development Corporation in Columbia, South Carolina.

Ron Kelly joined George Surgeon and partners from the U.S. Treasury Department and Cromwell & Scmisseur in visiting the Arkansas Development Finance Authority in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ken Poole and Ron Kelly visited with leaders from the California Infrastructure Bank and the California Pollution Control Financing Authority in Sacramento, California.

C2ER announced two new analysis tools for the State Business Incentives Database that will help researchers make “apples-to-apples” comparisons between incentives projects.

Ken Poole, Mark White, and Sarah Gutschow traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to kickoff a new project with the Centralina COG in which, CREC will be creating value chains for several key industries.

CREC hosted the C2ER Board Retreat to discuss the promotion of excellence in community and economic research, improvement of data availability, enhancement of data quality, and learning about regional economic analytic methods.

Ken Poole attended a GEMEnA meeting to learn more about the National Center for Education Statistics’ plan to better evaluate educational attainment in the upcoming Current Population Survey.

CREC hosted the Labor Market Information (LMI) Institute Board Meeting to discuss the promotion, production, and use of high-quality workforce and employment information.

Mark White traveled to Binghamton, New York to facilitate a focus group for stakeholders in New York State’s Appalachian regions as part of CREC’s work on the Appalachian Regional Commission’s 50th Anniversary.
