CREC Meets with Destination Erie Action Teams
November 5, 2014Ken Poole and Ron Kelly met with Action Teams tasked with implementing prioritized economy and workforce strategies under the Destination Erie initiative, a HUD Sustainable Communities project encompassing a five county region of Erie, PA. They met with regional representatives tasked with: (1) Year-Round Tourism Development, (2) Industry-Driven Education and Training, (3) Multimodal Transportation Development, (4) Entrepreneurship, and (5) Natural Gas. As the Destination Erie planning project comes to a close, these Action Teams will be responsible for moving these initiatives forward. Conversations included discussion of leadership, governance, resources, implementation priorities, and success measures.
